The college started in 9^th November, 2006 with a view to providing increased access to higher education particularly in teacher education. While the 11th plan envisages to attain 15% enrolment ratio of students in higher education sector, ours is an attempt in that direction to fulfil the National goal. While it is still being discussed and debated about the required number of B.Ed. Colleges, the demand and supply of teachers needed for universalisation of elementary education reveals that we are still having shortfall of trained teachers.

Therefore, there is felt need of teachers training colleges. The college is geared specially to provide high quality education, adopting the latest techniques and methodology for curriculum transaction. The College have all the qualified staff with NET SET & Ph.D. The institution also aspires to kindle in the students the desire for lifelong learning and for reaching the unreached. The College is affiliated to University of Mumbai.
